This is the most open-ended series of images I have ever created. This group of images came out my continuing love of very Formally strong images. Originally this work was a sort of game for me: how minimal or sparse of an image can I make while still making an engaging and potentially meaningful image. More and more, I focused on making images of spaces where an event could potentially take place or had recently taken place. I leave it up to the viewer to imagine what event. For me, the most successful images go a step farther and suggest some bigger force, such as the sea or the night sky. This process is aided by there large size (approx. 30X40 inches).
