In this series of work, I am exploring ways in which images can defy rationality and yet still be believed. In The mid-to-late 19th Century, spirit photography was extremely popular. Even after spirit photographers of the day were exposed as frauds, people continued to be attracted to these images. My images are both an homage to these Victorian photographs and an exploration of the power of images to capture the imagination of the viewer
